Establish Registration
Screen printing requires proper registration when using more than one color. To achieve proper separation of color each color must be represented by a separate screen. These screens must then be properly aligned (registered).
  1. Bring screens to registration wheel
  2. Loosen clamps and place top of each screen in clamp so that the flat side is down (forming a sort of tray to place the ink in). The image will appear to read right
  3. Tighten clamps
  4. Place test paper on print table under the clamped frame
  5. Place small amount of ink (enough to cover image when spread out) above the image inside the frame (tray)
  6. Make sure frame is pushed down onto the test paper
  7. Using a squeegee pull the ink across the opening in the frame (the image) while pushing down with slight pressure at a 45 degree angle
  8. Repeat as needed for each color/screen
  9. Lift frame and run test paper through the dryer
