Imaging the Screen
Photographic screen printing uses UltaViolet (UV) light to expose and polymerize (make into a permanent solid) the image onto the screen.
  1. Place image face down (read wrong) on the flat side of the prepared screen
  2. Use two small pieces of tape to temporarily secure the image to the screen
  3. Flip the screen over so the flat side faces the UV light source
  4. Close the vacuum frame and activate vacuum to remove air between image and screen
  5. Expose screen to UV light for 55 units of time
  6. After exposure, release the vacuum and remove the screen
  7. Take screen to wash-out area
  8. Spray with warm (90-100 degrees) water to release unexposed emulsion
  9. Use soft brush if necessary
  10. When finished, set aside to dry (preferably overnight or use fan)
